We are blessed with a gorgeous set of Schulmerich
handbells as well as a talented director to lead our bell choir. The choir rehearses
on Saturday mornings and presents special music in the morning service
throughout the year. New “ringers” are always welcome.
An elementary knowledge of music
notation is helpful. This is another opportunity to serve our Lord with our musical gifts.
We are always looking for dedicated musicians to assist in worship leadership. Vocalists, guitar, bass guitar, drum set, synthesizer, and keyboard players are welcome to audition for a spot on a worship leadership team. Knowledge of music and an advanced skill level of performance are important for these teams. Rehearsals are approximately 90 minutes weekly, with 30-45 minutes of additional preparation time on Sunday mornings. If enough capable musicians are available, we may form two teams.
This vital team assists in worship services by setting
up and monitoring the sound and visual systems in our new building. They
also provide help for meetings, funerals, and other special events requiring
sound or video enhancement. Basic knowledge of computers, video systems, or sound board operation is helpful, and training is available for those interested in learning. This is another “behind the scenes” ministry that is so vital to our church.
