Stephen Ministry is Monument Presbyterian Church's one-to-one care
giving ministry. Who are Stephen Ministers and what do they do? Stephen Ministers are
typical church folk who have chosen to be in a one-to-one caring relationship with another
person who needs a listener to be with them through a period of difficulty or life
crisis. If caring, listening, and encouraging are part of who you are, God may be calling YOU!
Becoming a Stephen Minister requires fifty hours of training, followed
by five hours a month of Continuing Education and Supervision, plus time spent with your care
receiver; generally a weekly visit of 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
