Small Group Studies

MPC offers Small Groups that meet throughout the week. Please contact us for more information regarding the following offerings.

                                        

                                                     

                                                          SMALL GROUPS

-- "Tables of 6 + 2" - This is a great way to meet new people and fellowship by sharing a meal together once a month. New Groups form a couple times each year.

-- "Women's Book Club" - Meets the 4th Monday of the month at 7 P.M. in various homes. New members are always welcome! We'll meet next on Monday, October 27th at 7:00 p.m. at the home of Barb Hazelton, (call for directions). The book for the month is called Dream When You're Feeling Blue by Elizabeth Berg. Come join us for a lively discussion!

-- "Pairs and Spares" - This group is open to all couples and singles. Get togethers are the 4th Friday of each month at noon, and vary in topic and location, from potlucks, to field trips, etc.

-- "Women's Bible Study" - Meets Wednesday mornings in various homes. New women of all ages always welcome! Our next study starts Oct 8th, The Cup of Our Life, A Guide for Spiritual Growth by Joyce Rupp, and is a moving 6 week study meant to revitalize and enrich your relationship with God. This group meets Wednesday mornings 9:30-11:30 a.m. in various homes. Please contact Margot Hanson if you have questions, or are interested in this great opportunity for fellowship and growth.

-- "Quilting" - Open to all ages and abilities, this quilting class is for anyone with an interst in the fun and creativity of quilting. It meets on Monday nights, 7:00 pm, at the church.

-- "Men's Club" - This ambitious group supports the church maintenance on special projects, and helps out with members having special needs. They also sponsor an annual fundraiser golf tournament in August. They are always looking for more helping hands. 3rd Monday of every month, 7 P.M. at the church. Our next meeting will be held on October 20th at the church.

-- "Ladies Time Out" - Once a month women's fellowship time. Dates and times change as do the variety of activities, from craft night to eating out, etc. Come share, laugh, and make new friends.

-- "Saturday Men's Group" - Studying the Bible word and philosophy, this group focuses on learning, open discussion, and fellowship. They meet in various homes every Saturday at 7 P.M.

-- Saturday Morning Men's Group meets every Saturday at 7a.m. in various homes for open discussion, fellowship and a deeper understanding of the Bible. Call John Bacheldor or Francis Hutto for more information. New men are always welcome. Please join us and bring a friend!

-- A new Women's Lunch and Study Group Now Forming! Invite your friends and join us on Monday, October 6th, 12:00-1:00 p.m. at the Grand Junction Visitor Center, 740 Horizon Drive. An interest has been shown in getting a Monday noon women's fellowship and study group started. We'll spend this first meeting sharing ideas for what you'd like to study (i.e., Christian magazine/newspaper articles, women's issues, a book or Bible study, etc.), how often and where to meet, etc. Open to all women!! Bring a sack lunch and join us on October 6th. Call Liz Mauch or Melanie Wiseman for more information.

-- God Squad Men's Bible Study group! Men of Monument, you are invited to join several Monument men who are already attending an interdenominational men's Bible study group on Friday mornings. The God Squad has been meeting for many years and new men are always welcome. They meet from 6:15-7:30 a.m. every Friday, at Office Outfitters, 749 Main St. The current study is a video series based on the book "The Man in the Mirror" by Patrick Morley. Meaningful small group discussions follow each video. Call Dan Wiseman for more information or simply come and join us!

-- Volleyball Enthusiasts! If you are 16 or older and enjoy playing recreational Co-ed volleyball, get ready to have some fun. Starting Friday, September 19th, from 7:00-8:30 pm, join us in the multi-purpose room twice a month on Friday nights for volleyball. Games this Fall will be for intermediate players. The next game nights are October 10th and 24th , November 7th & 21st, and December 5th & 19th, so mark your calendars today. Just so there are no surprises, part of the teamwork fun will involve moving chairs! Call Melanie Wiseman for more information. No sign up required. BRING YOUR FRIENDS!
